In the midst of the Galactic Battle season, which has already attracted such iconic characters as Mace Windu, Emperor Palpatine, and Jar Jar Binks to Fortnite, Epic Games has made an unexpected move with its new Ballistic mode. Now players have the opportunity to surrender in the middle of a match, which can be a real lifesaver for those who feel that the match is beyond saving.

Here's What We Know

Epic Games announced on Twitter that players can now "vote to surrender" to quickly end a match.

Ballistic is a team-based first-person shooter where one team attacks and the other defends. This mode went into early access in December 2024, and Epic Games is constantly adding new content to it. However, some players have complained about the quality of opponent selection in Ballistic, claiming that unbalanced games spoil the overall positive experience. It seems that the developers are trying to fix this problem by adding the ability to surrender in the middle of a match.

To successfully surrender to the opposing team in Ballistic, the vote must be unanimous. This prevents situations where a small group of players can prematurely end the match for their entire team. In addition, Epic Games is actively working on adding new maps to the Ballistic mode, although they are not yet complete.
