Nintendo has published a new gameplay video for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment - the continuation of the Tears of the Kingdom story

Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have once again joined forces to expand The Legend of Zelda universe. After the success of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which preceded the events of Breath of the Wild, the developers announced a new game - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. It will continue the storyline of Tears of the Kingdom (2023) and take players to a new combat action game with strategy elements.
Here's What We Know
In the latest issue of Creator's Voice, Nintendo shared the first details about the project. Producer Ryota Matsuhita and Head of AAA Games Studio Yosuke Hayashi spoke about technical and storyline innovations. The game is being developed for the Nintendo Switch 2 and uses the console's more powerful hardware, including higher frame rates and smoother gameplay. The video also features new gameplay footage and a behind-the-scenes look at the game's development.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is expected to be released in winter 2025. The exact release date has not yet been announced.
