The long-awaited game The Alters by 11 bit studios is finally getting ready to launch this week. And as the release approaches, the developers have revealed the system requirements for PC players.

Here's What We Know

Regardless of the preset you choose, the game requires 50 GB of free SSD space to install.

Here are the detailed requirements for different graphical settings:

  • Low settings (scaled 1080p, 30 FPS): You'll need an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-6700 processor, a Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM. These are fairly modest requirements that will allow most players to run the game.
  • Medium settings (scaled 1080p, 60 FPS): For a smoother experience on medium settings, you'll need a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-7700, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1600 or Radeon RX 5600 XT. This already requires a little more powerful hardware.
  • High settings (scalable 1080p, 60 FPS): If you're looking for better graphics at the same frame rate, you'll need a Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-8700K, a Radeon RX 6600 XT or RTX 2070 graphics card, and 16GB of RAM.
  • Ultra setting (scalable 2160p, 60 FPS): For a true 4K visual feast on Ultra settings, you'll need a top-of-the-line configuration: Ryzen 9 5900X or Core i7-12700, Radeon RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4080 Super graphics card, and 32 GB of RAM. These are the requirements for enthusiasts who want to get the most out of the game.

Those who want to test their PC and performance before launch can use the new free Benchmark Tool. It's a great way to check how the game will run on your PC and adjust the settings in advance for the best experience.

The Alters is out on 13 June for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
