Last week saw the release of the horror-platformer Little Nightmares III, which disappointed most critics and gamers. This is largely because the project was created by Supermassive Games, instead of Tarsier Studios, which brilliantly handled the first two parts.

For unknown reasons, Bandai Namco refused to cooperate with Tarsier, as a result of which the developer got the opportunity to work on a new game in the same genre — Reanimal.

What is known

Reanimal has attracted great attention since the very first teaser, and thanks to the competent promotion of the game, gamers are showing increasing interest in the horror.

As part of Steam Next Fest, the developers offered to try the Reanimal demo to everyone, and this decision fully justified itself. Tarsier Studios and THQ Nordic announced that already 1 million people have added Reanimal to their wishlist, essentially confirming their desire to buy the game.

The public is delighted with the Reanimal demo — 96% of reviews on Steam are positive.

Gamers are deeply impressed by the style, graphics, technical execution, and plot setup of REANIMAL, which resembles the first parts of Little Nightmares but looks even darker.

According to the story of REANIMAL, a brother and sister find themselves on a creepy island filled with phantasmagoric creatures that reflect their fears. The heroes strive to save their friends and find a safe place with them, but the path to this goal is filled with frightening locations, ruthless enemies, dangerous traps, and complex puzzles.

When to expect

Reanimal will debut in the first quarter of 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
