Garmin has expanded its range of premium dive smartwatches by introducing an updated version of the Descent Mk3i model with a fresh design and up-to-date features for professional divers and underwater adventure enthusiasts.

New Design and Positioning

The main innovation is a 51mm case option in a new black-gray color that the manufacturer calls "Timeless." The titanium case ensures maximum strength at minimum weight. The device is already on sale at a price of $1599, confirming its status as a flagship solution in the dive watch category.

The gadget features an AMOLED screen and withstands pressure up to 20 atmospheres.

Technologies for the Underwater World

The Descent Mk3i remains one of the most technologically advanced devices in its class.

The key features announced include:

  • Underwater communication between divers using SubWave technology;
  • Tank pressure monitoring and support for multiple gas mixtures;
  • Operation at depths of up to 200 meters;
  • Color maps DiveView with dive site data.

The device is aimed at recreational and professional diving, including support for rebreathers and complex dive profiles. To avoid getting lost in the sea depths or on land, the Descent Mk3i has a bright LED flashlight.

Not Just for Diving

In addition to diving features, the model offers a full range of modern smartwatch capabilities:

  • GPS navigation and multisport modes;
  • Health monitoring (pulse, SpO₂, sleep);
  • Features for assessing "readiness to dive";
  • An autonomy of up to 10 days and up to 30 hours in diving mode;
  • 32 GB of built-in memory allows storing a significant amount of music and maps on the watch, to use them without a smartphone and an internet connection.

Updates and support in 2026

Throughout 2026, Garmin is actively developing the device's software platform. Specifically, in the spring, software update (version 25.14) was released, fixing map errors and improving stability during technical dives.
