The Slovak company Klein Vision has been developing a flying car for several years and has achieved great success in this. The other day, its flying car AirCar Prototype 1 made the first ever flight between cities.
How it was
It happened on June 28th. The car took off from Nitra airport and landed at Bratislava airport 35 minutes later, moving at an altitude of 2.5 km and making turns to test its maneuverability. Stefan Klein, the founder and head of Klein Vision, was at the wheel.
By the way, AirCar is not just a flying car, but a transformer that can be an ordinary car or spread its wings if necessary. By the way, after the flight, Klein did just that - after landing, he folded his wings, pulled in his tail and drove to the center of the capital of Slovakia in an almost ordinary (at first glance) sports car. At the same time, the transformation takes only 3 minutes.
The AirCar Prototype 1 can accommodate several people or a load of up to 200 kg. It has a 160 hp BMW engine, is equipped with a parachute, flies at the altitude of up to 2500 m at the speed of up to 190 km / h. The developers plan to increase the engine power up to 300 hp, the speed up to 300 km / h, and the flight range up to 1000 km.
By the way, AirCar has already spent more than 40 hours in the air. The recent flight marked the 142nd successful landing.
