GIGABYTE's new GO27Q24G puts a glossy WOLED gaming monitor at $399, making it one of the more accessible QHD OLED options on the market right now. It uses a 27-inch LG WOLED panel with 2560×1440 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms response time. For competitive gamers who want OLED image quality without crossing the $400 line, it's worth a close look — with some caveats.

The panel

The GO27Q24G's standout feature is its RealBlack Glossy coating on top of LG's MLA+ (Micro Lens Array) WOLED panel. Unlike matte anti-glare screens, the glossy layer eliminates the grainy texture effect and lets OLED's infinite contrast ratio fully show — blacks look deep, images look sharp. GIGABYTE's HyperNits technology pushes peak HDR brightness to 1,300 nits, and the monitor carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Typical SDR brightness sits at 275 nits, which is on the lower end for everyday use. Color coverage hits 99% DCI-P3, making it capable beyond gaming — photo and video work will benefit too.

On the gaming side, AMD FreeSync Premium is supported, and GIGABYTE lists it as NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. The Tactical Switch 2.0 feature lets you instantly shift the display into a 24-inch aspect ratio mode — a niche but useful option for esports titles that favor that format. Burn-in protection is handled by AI OLED Care running in the background. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The trade-off

That $399 price comes with a compromise worth knowing about. The GO27Q24G uses an older-generation LG WOLED panel, not the newer 4th-Gen Tandem WOLED found in GIGABYTE's own MO27Q28GR, which costs $100 more. The PC Gamer review calls out brightness limitations in full-screen HDR scenarios as a result of that panel difference. If HDR performance is your priority, the extra $100 may be worth it.

The competitive picture is tight. The Alienware AW2726DM uses a QD-OLED panel and undercuts at $349, while ASUS ROG alternatives occupy similar price territory and get frequent recommendations from enthusiast reviewers. As Notebookcheck notes, the GO27Q24G is still among the more affordable glossy QHD OLED options available — it just isn't the only one.

Availability

The GO27Q24G is available now on Amazon US at $399. A three-year warranty with burn-in coverage is included. UK and wider EMEA pricing is expected around €399 equivalent, but retailer listings at Scan and Overclockers UK have not yet been confirmed.
