SkyShowtime has released the first images and details of the second season of the series “Dexter: Resurrection,” which began in 2025 and continues the story of the infamous serial killer after the finale of the miniseries subtitled “Dexter: New Blood.”

In the new story, the main character continues to settle in New York, which is unfamiliar to him, and teaches his son Harrison how to control the urge to kill and how not to get caught by the police if someone still becomes his victim. Notably, in the second season, Harrison gets a job with the New York Police Department, thus finding cover for his second 'I', and following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who was a police officer, and his father, who was a successful forensic expert and simultaneously a maniac—such a family drama.

In the second season of Resurrection, Dexter, once again played by Michael C. Hall, will hunt two “colleagues”—the “Five Boroughs Killer” portrayed by Dan Stevens and the “New York Ripper” played by Brian Cox.

Returning to their roles in the second season of "Dexter: Resurrection" are Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, James Remar, and Krysten Ritter. A new cast member will also join — Gabriel Luna — the star of the second season of The Last of Us.

The executive producer and showrunner of the series is Clyde Phillips, the creator of the first four seasons of "Dexter" and "Dexter: New Blood."

The premiere of the second season of "Dexter: Resurrection" is expected in 2026 on Paramount+.
