Anker's new THUS AI chip brings call transcription and sleep tracking to Soundcore earbuds
Anker has unveiled seven new Soundcore audio products at IFA 2026 in Berlin, all powered by a single proprietary processor called the THUS AI chip. The chip handles adaptive noise cancellation, voice processing, and — in select models — automatic transcription of phone calls and meetings. Two models land on September 22; the sleep-focused flagship arrives in November.
The flagship
The Space 2 Pro is the headliner. It packs a 14-microphone array: eight mics continuously scan the environment for noise cancellation, and six isolate your voice during calls. Audio comes through 35mm drivers with LDAC codec support and Anker's HearID 5.0 personalized sound calibration. Battery life is 30 hours with active noise cancellation on, or 60 hours without, per Engadget. It launches September 22 at $200 — roughly half the price of the Sony WH-1000XM5 ($399) and Bose NC 700 ($379) it's clearly targeting.

The privacy question
The AeroClip 2 Pro is an open-ear clip-style earbud that keeps your ear canal unblocked. Its standout feature is AI-powered recording of phone calls and online meetings, with automatic text transcripts generated in the Soundcore app. SoundGuys confirmed that the transcription captures both sides of a conversation. That's where things get complicated: in California, New York, and over a dozen other US states, recording a call without the other party's consent is illegal. Anker hasn't publicly detailed how the app handles consent disclosure. It launches September 22 alongside the base AeroClip 2 (which adds LDAC and a "Whisper Mode" for clearer speech), starting at $170.

Sleep tracking without a smartwatch
The Liberty Buds 2 are compact in-ear earbuds with the THUS chip, six mics, and Anker's Comfort ANC — designed to cancel noise without the pressure sensation some users find uncomfortable. They hit stores September 22 at $130.
The bigger swing is the Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro ($349, November). They embed PPG sensors directly in the earbuds to track heart rate and heart rate variability while you sleep — no smartwatch required. The charging case has an AMOLED display for viewing sleep reports and setting alarms. The standard Sleep Earbuds 4 ($250, October) slims down by 20% for side-sleepers and adds snore masking; its case can detect a fire alarm and automatically switch the earbuds to transparency mode.
PPG-based heart rate tracking is an established technology in wearables, but Anker hasn't published clinical validation data for the sleep sensor accuracy claims.
