Google will investigate overheating issues with Pixel 5a

The company Google Pixel 5a: inexpensive smartphone with 5G support, IP67 water resistance and Snapdragon 765G processor, still cheaper than Pixel 4a 5G. It was warmly welcomed by the public, but a few days after the premiere, information about rapid overheating of the novelty appeared.

First users reported that Google Pixel 5a fails to shoot video due to rapid overheating. But later it became known that the cooling system fails to cope even in 1080p@30FPS mode. And it's not affected by ambient temperature in any way.

It is assumed that the problem lies in the software. The manufacturer from the United States is launching its own investigation to find the causes of the fault. The company also intends to address the issue of phantom presses, which are also commonly reported by users.
