Apple iMac competitor: Huawei unveiled its first-ever MateStation X with 4K+ screen and AMD Ryzen processor

Today Huawei has unveiled its first all-in-one personal computer called MateStation X. The first thought that comes to  mind is that it can compete with the new Apple iMac - moreover, the appearance of Huawei MateStation X is very similar to it.

What's on offer

The novelty has small frames, like the iMac, and a display like the monitor MateView. The screen covers 92% of the area and has a 28.2 inch diagonal, 4K+ resolution (3840×2560) and 3:2 aspect ratio. Claims 98% P3 color gamut, 100% sRGB, T certificationsÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free. The display is touch sensitive and supports the detection of up to 10 simultaneous touches.

The is based on the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor, there is also a version with Ryzen 7 5800H. Huawei ships it with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. For cooling "stuffing" a Shark Fin 3.0 system is provided.

MateStation X also received 4 microphones that can pick up user voice from up to 5 meters away, 3 speakers (2 wideband speakers at 5W and subwoofer at 10W), 1 MP camera for video calling, each two ports USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1) and USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), an audio jack, and also Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The computer runs Windows 10, but promises a free upgrade to Windows 11.

The monoblock comes with a Huawei wireless keyboard (version with fingerprint scanner) and a Huawei AF30 Bluetooth mouse.

Price

The Huawei MateStation X starts at $1549 for the base version.
