Back in April in there were rumors about that Samsung has agreed on cooperation with Japanese company Olympus. The most likely "fruit of" collaboration was called the flagship Galaxy S22, which is due for release early next year. But it looks like that will never happen.
No partnership and
Publication LetsGoDigital contacted representatives of Olympus, and they said that the company is not cooperating with Samsung. A similar comment was received by publication Android Authority:
"The only official statement that I can make to you from our side on this matter is that, from our point of view, there is nothing to talk about or publicize"
The latter does not sound so unambiguous, so journalists asked for clarification. As a result, the firm said it was not commenting on the rumors.
There may still have been some talks about collaboration in the past. But a partnership in the result is not worth waiting for , and the Galaxy S22 flagships will be left without Olympus cameras.
