Xiaomi's best-selling smartphone suddenly got MIUI 12.5 Enhanced

Xiaomi has released MIUI 12.5 Enhanced software for its best-selling smartphone.

Who updated?

We're talking about the Redmi Note 8. It was announced in the last days of summer 2019, and by the end of the year it had become the most popular Android smartphone. In 2020, it ceded that title to the Samsung Galaxy A51 model, while remaining Xiaomi's best-selling solution.

The Chinese firmware MIUI 12.5 Enhanced based on Android 11 is now available for the Redmi Note 8. The update number is v12.5.3.0 RCOCNXM. In addition to the optimizations and fixes announced by the manufacturer, the new version of the software has eliminated bugs in the fingerprint scanner.

Recall that recently the global version of the Redmi Note 8 in the form of Redmi Note 8T also got Android 11. However, for now the smartphone remains running MIUI 12 firmware.
