2 budget Xiaomi smartphones started receiving MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update in the global market

Xiaomi continues to update its smartphones to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition in the global market. This time, the system has been released for two budget-friendly devices.

What we know

We are talking about Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 models. The firmware has been released with build numbers V12.5.3.0.RJCMIXM and V12.5.2.0.RJOMIXM respectively. As for the changes, the devices received Global MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition announced. The developers have rewritten the code of the firmware, thus optimizing it. In theory the handsets should now run faster and consume less power.

Software has also been improved by many bug-fixes and added October's Google security patch, which will help to close some vulnerabilities.

When to expect

The firmware is currently at Stable Beta stage. That means only some users have received it so far. If there are no bugs in the update, it will be released for everyone soon.
