Windows 11 started to gain popularity dramatically

Not even a month has passed since the release of the Windows 11 operating system, but quite a few PCs have already managed to update to the new version of Microsoft software.

What is known

This is reported by the analytical company AdDuplex, whose research is based on the statistics of Microsoft Store. Experts note the good dynamics of distribution of the operating system on the background of the fact that Microsoft has not yet made updating to Windows 11 compulsory. In addition, another limitation is the system requirements that have also reduced the circle of computers.

Be that as it may, Windows 11 is already installed on more than 5% of PCs. The stable version has received 4.8% of the PCs, with another 0.3% taking the Insider Preview. Thus, it has overtaken Windows 10 N19U / M19U / O18U. Their share is 3.9%, 2% and 3.1% respectively.

The Windows 10 21H1 build, on the other hand, is the leader. It is installed at 37.6%. A little bit it yields to last October's update, Windows 10 20H2. The share of this release is 34%. The May build of last year's Windows 10 (14.1%) is also in the top three.

Recall, there are now several official ways to install the Windows 11 operating system. If you are using a licensed version of the OS and your PC meets the system requirements, you can use installation assistant for Windows 11 on the official website and upgrade the software. Alternatively, wait for an over-the-air update. If your PC does not meet all the requirements, you can create a Windows 11 media and install the OS manually.
