Fire TV Omni QLED: Amazon's new line of TVs that automatically turn on when you walk into a room

At today's presentation, Amazon introduced a new line of mid-range Fire TV Omni QLED, which includes two models with diagonal screens of 65 and 75 inches.

Here's What We Know

Like the existing Omni Fire TVs, the new models respond to Alexa voice commands hands-free. But Amazon has gone a step further and added human presence detection. Using built-in sensors, the device detects when a person enters the room and automatically turns on. The screen displays a collection of 1,500 photos, including exhibits from the National Gallery of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. And, unlike Samsung The Frame, all of these images are free.

And if you're not an art lover, the TV can stream a number of widgets (like calendars, reminders, notes or news headlines) and your personal photos.

Thank Amazon for the fact that the TVs understand when it is day and when it is night, and in the latter case they do not turn on. There's also a "Do Not Disturb" feature for certain clocks and a setting in the menu that allows you to turn off presence detection completely.

In addition, the Fire TV Omni QLED models support HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ Adaptive, Dolby Vision IQ, have a 60Hz refresh rate, have two Dolby Digital speakers and come with a standard remote rather than the new Voice Remote Pro. In other words, quality picture and good sound are assured.
