SpaceX capitalisation to reach $175bn after new stake sale

In a few months, the market capitalisation of the company SpaceX can increase by $25 billion, Bloomberg reports.

Here's What We Know

SpaceX is a private company, which allows it not to sell shares on the open stock market and not to disclose the capital structure. Now it is preparing to sell a new package of shares for $500-750 million. The cost of one security should be $95.

In the summer of this year, the market capitalisation was estimated at $150 billion. After the upcoming deal, SpaceX should enter the 75 largest companies in the world. Thus, the capitalisation will reach $175 billion, which is $1 billion and $2 billion less than T-Mobile and Nike respectively.

This year, the US has carried out 100 space launches, of which SpaceX accounted for 91 per cent. Most of the missions were carried out to put Starlink internet satellites into orbit. The service will generate $9bn in revenue for the company by the end of 2023 and has finally stopped making losses.
