Embracer takes away favorite mobile game from people who paid for it

If you've ever bought one of the most popular puzzle games on the App Store, Deus Ex Go by Squre Enix Montreal, then I have bad news for you - you won't be able to play it anymore. The conglomerate Embracer Group buys the rights to such franchises as Deus Ex, Tomb Raider and The Lord of the Rings and it decided that you don't want to play them anymore.

Here's What We Know

Three weeks after the closure of the development studio, Embracer decided not only to remove these games from the mobile app stores, but also makes them inaccessible even if you have already downloaded it to your phone, or as happened in the case of Deus Ex Go, even if you paid for it!

"Current players will not have access to the games after January 4," reads a tweet from the defunct Onoma studio, which also sees three free games (Arena Battle Champions, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows and Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes) disabled. "We recommend that you use your in-game pre-purchases before January 4 as they are non-refundable."

Usually, when a developer removes a game from a platform, you still have the option to play it if it was free, or download it if you purchased it for money, but it seems not in this case.
