CD Projekt Red has published a list of major changes in the non-xtgen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Two days before the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt nextgen update, CD Projekt Red published a list of major changes.

Here's What We Know

Patch 4.0 will introduce the following innovations:

  • Significant improvements in graphics and visual effects;
  • Increased detailing of the characters, the textures of the central character models will be made in 4K resolution;
  • add ray tracing, improved lighting and diffuse dimming will appear;
  • support for some modifications, such as The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, Immersive Real-time Cutscenes and World Map Fixes;
  • the ability to pause the game during videos and dialogues;
  • corrected the display of armor;
  • character hair will no longer pass through clothing and armor;
  • Ultra+ graphics settings will appear on PC;
  • PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will have an increased frame rate mode (60 fps);
  • developers will introduce cross-platform preservation (the same as in Cyberpunk 2077);
  • specially created quest.

When We Can Expect It

Nextgen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on December 14 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series and will be free for all owners of the original game.
