The developers have announced the official release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and shared new details about the game

A Japanese publisher has accidentally revealed the release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum - 22 June 2023 was incorrect!

Daedalic Entertainment and publisher Nacon held a special broadcast to share new footage and details about the action platformer The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

Here's What We Know

The game's designers have announced the official release date: the game will be released on May 25, 2023.

Also the developers showed gameplay footage, which shows that Gollum is almost defenseless in an open battle, so he has to rely on his stealth and acrobatic abilities.

The player has to carefully hide from potential enemies, distract them with improvised items and overcome various obstacles with jumping, climbing and other body movements. In this respect, the game is really similar to Prince of Persia.

The developers warn you not to judge the graphics quality by the presented footage, because it was recorded in a beta version of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, and in the release version promises to significantly improve the technical part of the project.

The game will be available on MS, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. A release on Nintendo Switch will take place at a later date.
