Qualcomm seems to be returning to cooperation with Samsung Foundry after a three-year break. According to SEDaily, one of the variants of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor for the flagship Galaxy S26 smartphones will be manufactured on a 2-nm process at Samsung's factories.
Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset back in October last year, so one would expect its successor, tentatively called Elite 2, to debut in October this year. However, according to rumours from China, the announcement of the new product will take place at the end of September.
