PlayStation 5 protection fell - exploit allows you to install pirated games

Hackers have reported the hacking of Sony's latest generation PlayStation 5 game console. But it is too early to rejoice.

Here's What We Know

Hackers were able to create an exploit to break into the game console. Lance McDonald, the modder who created the patch for Bloodborne with 60 FPS support for PlayStation 4, published images to demonstrate the interface of the software.

The exploit cannot be called full-fledged, as it does not allow pirated games to run, but only allows installation. In particular, MacDonald demonstrated how he managed to install a P.T. demo from the PS4 PKG package on the PlayStation 5.

Nothing changes for ordinary users yet, as the exploit is not able to execute code (only read and write) and is oriented to developers. Moreover, it is only compatible with firmware version 4.03, and even then, the exploit does not always work correctly (70% of all crashes).
