Baykar unveiled a fleet of Bayraktar Akinci strike drones with Ukrainian engines, ready for transfer to the Armed Forces

The company Baykar Makina, producer of strike drones Bayraktar, has unveiled a fleet of drones Akinci, which are already ready for transfer to the Turkish Armed Forces.

Baykar published a video showing seven strike drones Bayraktar Akinci. They will be deployed by the Turkish Air Force, Ground Forces and National Intelligence Organization. The first UAV deserves a special mention. It carries a cruise missile SOM with a 230 kg warhead and a range of up to 275 km. The drone also received bombs MK-81 / MK-82, a pair of MAM-E bombs and eight MAM-L bombs.

The Bayraktar Akinci is equipped with two AI-450T turbo engines developed in Ukraine. The power of each is 750hp. They enable the drone to reach the speed of up to 361 km/h. The cruising speed of the UAV is 240 km/h.

The strike drone weighs 5,500 kg and can carry a payload of 1,350 kg. With one full tank Bayraktar Akinci can fly 7500 km. The one fuel charge operation time is 25 hours. The drone can climb to an altitude of up to 12 km. At the same time the operating altitude is about 9 km.
