The Netherlands has officially confirmed its intention to provide Ukraine with an air defense system

The day before, Bloomberg cited its sources as saying that The Netherlands is considering sending Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine following the United States and Germany. This intention has now been officially confirmed.

Here's What We Know

Prime Minister Mark Rutte has confirmed that the Netherlands plans to join the initiative to send Patriot to Ukraine. He has already been thanked for this by President Zelenskyy, who spoke to the head of the Dutch government on Monday, January 16.

Thus, the Netherlands may become the third country to send Patriot surface-to-air missile systems to Ukraine. The first country to agree to the transfer of MIM-104s was the United States. Later Germany joined them.

Also do not forget that this year Ukraine will receive several batteries of antiaircraft missile systems NASAMS. Canada will pay for an additional battery for Ukraine. This was announced about a week ago by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
