The Czech Republic will receive German Leopard tanks to replace the T-72s, which it handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

Germany and the Czech Republic still managed to reach an agreement on the replacement of Soviet tanks, which help Ukraine in the war against Russia. Instead of 72 T-72 combat vehicles, the Czech Republic will receive 15 Leopard 2A4 tanks, which will be modified in accordance with the needs of the Czech army.

Negotiations between Germany and the Czech Republic began in late spring 2022. The first Leopard 2A4 tanks are already being modified to ensure the compatibility of communications and information systems. In addition, in the future Germany will sell new Leopard 2A7 tanks to the Czech Republic.
