The Philippine Army has received its second batch of Turkish-made T129 ATAK attack helicopters.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about two helicopters. They were delivered to the Philippines with the help of A400M Atlas transport planes. The Philippines also received two T129 ATAKs earlier.

The contract for the T129 ATAK was signed in 2021. The contract is worth $286,600,000. The Philippine Army will receive a total of six helicopters.

Flashback

The T129 ATAK is based on the Italian Agusta A129 Mangusta and differs from it by its airframe, new engines, tail rotor, improved avionics, displays, and armament.
