The editors of IGN portal have compiled the top 25 best JRPGs of all time.
Here's What We Know
JRPG - one of the most favourite and established genre of video games, which counts a huge number of excellent titels. Given this fact, the journalists agreed to add only one game of the franchise each.
The best JRPG IGN named Chrono Trigger, a 1995 game created by Final Fantasy franchise creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and his talented team. The game really deserves this title, and its time-travelling story is still considered one of the most touching and exciting.
Second place goes to Persona 5 Royal, which was released relatively recently and needs no introduction. Rounding out the top three is Final Fantasy X, another legendary game.
The most relevant games in this selection are Metaphor: ReFantazio and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, both released by Sega, SEGA has become the best game publisher of 2024, beating Capcom, Sony and Square Enix, ahead of Capcom, Sony and Square Enix.
