The developers of Dune: Awakening have revealed the stunning landscapes of Arrakis in a new trailer

Funcom studio presented an atmospheric and spectacular trailer of the ambitious survival simulator Dune: Awakening, based on the famous literary saga by Frank Herbert.
Here's What We Know
The video is called "Beauty of Arrakis" (Beauty of Arrakis) and fully demonstrates the impressive landscapes of the desert planet.
Although Arrakis is dominated by sand dunes, players will be able to visit other biomes: cliffs, underground settlements, industrial buildings, mountain ranges, canyons, oases with green vegetation and beautiful flowers and other places.
In the first stages of Dune: Awakening the planet can be explored only on foot, but as gamers progress they will get different modes of transport, including all-terrain vehicles and the famous ornithopter - flying machines made in the image of a dragonfly.
Dune: Awakening is positioned and looks like an extremely ambitious game, which can change the concept of survival simulators and bring new ideas to the genre, which have been missing for a long time.
The developers promise a huge space and almost complete freedom of action, the ability to influence the political balance of power and even start your own Guild to start fighting for the main resource that provides power on Arrakis - for Spice.
The events of Dune: Awakening are set in an alternate timeline of the franchise created by Frank Herbert, in which the most important character Paul Atreides was not born, causing key events to take a different path.
When We Can Expect It
Dune: Awakening is expected to release in early 2025 on PC, with a release date for the console versions to be announced later.
