A big announcement for the Halo franchise will take place next week
Recently, many rumors have surfaced that Microsoft and Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) are preparing to announce a new project for the Halo franchise. It was expected to happen at the end of October, and now we know the exact date and time of the announcement.
What is known
Halo Studios announced that the new game will be presented on October 24 at 22:00 (CEST) as part of the annual esports competition Halo World Championships.
Studio communications director Brian Jarrard commented on the upcoming announcement:
Can't wait for HaloWC next week! Hope to see you in person and on the stream, where we will share news about one of the Halo Studios projects.
The studio does not mention the name of the game anywhere, but thanks to numerous leaks, it is almost certain that it is a full-fledged remake of Halo: Combat Evolved. It is expected that in terms of innovations and changes, this remake will be comparable to the updated versions of Resident Evil.
It is also known that a completely new part of Halo is in development, but it is unlikely to be presented at the show as the release of this game is still a long way off.
