Xiaomi has released new versions of MIUI 12.5 software on nine smartphones at once, three of which are sold under the Redmi brand.
These include the recent new products Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro and 11 Lite 5G NE. All of them received security patches for September 2021 along with the global firmware version. The update numbers are v18.104.22.168 RKWMIXM, v22.214.171.124 RKDMIMX and v126.96.36.199 RKOMIXM respectively. The Pro version has managed to get the European v188.8.131.52 RKDEUXM build as well.
The world's first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 888 represented by Xiaomi Mi 11 received the European and global versions of MIUI 12.5 under the numbers v184.108.40.206 RKBEUXM and v220.127.116.11 RKBMIXM. The update list only mentions system stability improvements.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra also managed to get the MIUI 12.5 update in two regions. European v18.104.22.168 RKAEUXM and global v22.214.171.124 RKAMIXM are already available for one of the best camera phones according to DxOMark. The update brings a number of bug fixes and an OS security patch for August 2021.
Users have previously complained about automatic smartphone locking, fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock system glitches. The company has tried to address all these in the new software version. The same fixes came to POCO F2 Pro as part of the v126.96.36.199 RJKMIXM shell.
More bugs developers have fixed in Redmi Note 10 Pro. The MIUI 12.5 update numbered v188.8.131.52 RKFMIXM solved the problem of incorrect operation of the fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. Users also complained about automatic notification deletion, lack of player control keys in the curtain and biometric scanner not working properly when Super Wallpaper is activated. All of these have been fixed as well.
Finally, the global firmware MIUI 184.108.40.206 RKUMIXM with a security patch for August has been released for Redmi 10. All nine smartphones received the software based on Android 11 operating system.
