Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (aka Moto Edge X) specs leaked online: 144Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 898 chip and 50MP triple camera

A day after Moto Edge X will be the name of Motorola's new flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 898 chip on board, our colleagues from TechnikNews have unearthed detailed specifications of the new product.

What is known

The device comes with the model number XT2201 and the codename Rogue. In China, the novelty will be released as Moto Edge X, while in the global market the device will be called Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. The smartphone is credited with a 6.67-inch display with OLED matrix. The panel will have FHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Qualcomm SM8450 processor will be responsible for the performance of the device. This is the codename of the new flagship chip Snapdragon 898, which is due to show in late November. The chipset will be paired with 8/12GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and 128/256GB of storage (UFS 3.1). There will be no memory card slot in the novelty.

As for the main camera, it should get three 50 MP sensors (OmniVision OV50A) + 50 MP (Samsung JN150) + 2 MP (OmniVision OV20B1B). The front, on the other hand, will have a 60 MP sensor. It will be able to shoot video in 4K. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra's 5,000mAh battery with support for 67-watt charging (from 0 to 100% in 35 minutes) will be responsible for its battery life. There will be no wireless charging or reverse charging in the novelty. The smartphone also won't get a headphone jack, but it will be equipped with a button to launch Google Assistant, a IP52 protected body, stereo speakers, and a Wi-Fi 6 module, Bluetooth 5.2 and 5G modem.

The smartphone will hit the market with Android 12 operating system pre-installed. The novelty should be released in December.
