New Overwatch competitor: NetEase's Marvel Rivals competitive game Marvel Rivals was officially unveiled

There was an official announcement of a new online game based on the Marvel universe.

It should be recognised that the information of insider Kurakasis and TheStreamr portal is fully confirmed.

Here's What We Know

Multiplayer action was named Marvel Rivals and is really similar to Overwatch. But it has two significant differences from the Blizzard shooter: not all characters have firearms and ways of remote defeat of enemies and gameplay is realised with a third-person view, not from the first person, as in Overwatch.

In Marvel Rivals players will be given a large selection of characters, each of which has unique abilities and requires an individual approach. The game features several different maps and modes.

In the new game from the Chinese company NetEase Games, teams consist of six people, each of whom should choose characters wisely, as their abilities can be combined and thus get different advantages.

When We Can Expect It

The developers haven't revealed the game's release date, but in the meantime they are inviting people to sign up for the closed alpha testing of Marvel Rivals, which will start in May.

Insiders reported that the game will be released on PC and consoles, but officially NetEase Games has not yet named the list of platforms.
