Honor Magic V2, the lightest and thinnest bendable smartphone priced from $1255, has been announced

Honor has unveiled another bendable smartphone. The model is called Magic V2. It became the world's thinnest and lightest smartphone of its class.

Here's What We Know

When folded, the body thickness of Honor Magic V2 is 9.9 mm, and when unfolded - 4.7 mm. The smartphone weighs 231 g or 237 g. It depends on the back cover coating. There are versions with glass and eco-leather. The latter weighs 6 g less.

The flagship is equipped with two OLED LTPO displays with a frame rate of 120 Hz. The large internal screen has a diagonal of 7.92", a resolution of 2344 x 2156 pixels and a brightness of 1600 nits. The outer panel parameters are 6.43", 2376 x 1060 pixels and 2500 nits respectively. Both screens have got stylus support. The hinge is rated for 400,000 folds.

Honor Magic V2 is equipped with an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This variant of the processor is called the Leading Version. RAM is 16GB, storage capacity is 256-1024GB, battery capacity is 5000mA*h and fast charging power is 66W.

The main camera received three modules with a resolution of 50 MP + 50 MP + 20 MP. The maximum zoom ratio is 40x. Optical image stabilisation is also available. The front camera is represented by two 16 MP sensors.

Honor Magic V2 is equipped with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and GPS. The software platform is Android 13 operating system, complemented by MagicOS 7.2 shell. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side edge.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The smartphone is already available for pre-order in China. Sales will start on 20 July 2023. The Honor Magic V2 is priced at $1255, $1400 and $1675 in versions with 256GB, 512GB and 1024GB of inbuilt storage respectively.
