The U.S. sent B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to Australia

The United States has deployed stealth bombers B-2 Spirit at Amberley Air Force Base in Australia.

What we know

The U.S. Army has only two dozen aircrafts B-2 Spirit in service. Four of them were sent to Royal Australian Air Force Base and Queensland. The stealth bomber transfers were made in support of the Pacific Air Force bombers.

The two aircrafts B-2 Spirit arrived at the Australian air base on July 10 and will participate in several exercises through the summer. The Drive notes that sending U.S. bombers to Australia means the willingness of the United States to deploy the planes in case of conflict with the People's Republic of China, which has threatened to take action if Nancy Pelosi travels to Taiwan and is now conducting military exercises of unprecedented scale near the island.
