A good addition to the M777: Ukrainian gunners will receive 105-mm British howitzers L119

The UK is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.

What is known

This publication reports The Defense Post. The new package will include about 30 L119 howitzers. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin training on their use in June. The training will last for a month. So it’s not worth waiting for the delivery of howitzers before mid-summer. By the way, 30 New Zealand instructors will train Ukrainian artillerymen.

L119 (aka M119) is a 105mm British-made howitzer. It is designed to support infantry, airborne troops and assault groups. It is served by 5-7 people. The range of the L119 is from 11,500 to 19,000 meters (depending on projectiles).
