The Come Back Alive Foundation has handed over to Ukrainian gunners the first of 11 PD-2 UAVs produced by Ukrainian company UkrSpecSystems.

Details

The complex consists of two aircraft, a ground control station and a mobile control station on the basis of a four-wheel drive minibus. According to the Head of the Fund Taras Chmut, such a drone can take off vertically, which means it does not need an airstrip, its reconnaissance depth is up to 180 km, and its flight time is 8 hours. The drone is equipped with a 30x zoom camera. It is complemented by a thermal imager with 5x zoom. The UAV supports automatic target tracking.

A total of 11 such unmanned aerial systems were signed by the foundation last year. The complex was bought with the help of partners from IT-community, who collected 31 million hryvnias by the 31st anniversary of Independence of Ukraine.
