Rival Apple Studio Display: Samsung Launches ViewFinity S9 5K Monitor with Built-in Webcam Powered by Tizen TV OS

Samsung did not wait until the CES 2023 exhibition announced a new monitor.

Here's What We Know

The novelty was named Samsung ViewFinity S9. The device has got 27-inch display with a resolution of 5120×2880 pixels and color gamut DCI-P3 coverage of 99%. The panel has a matte finish, which reduces light reflection and glare. In addition, the screen boasts a built-in color calibration mechanism. It can also be adjusted through a proprietary app on your smartphone, Samsung Smart Calibration.

The Samsung ViewFinity S9 comes with a built-in 4K SlimFit webcam, as well as Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, DisplayPort and HDMI ports. The monitor can be used to charge laptops with up to 96 watts of power. The monitor runs on the Tizen TV OS.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Samsung ViewFinity S9 will start selling early this year. The novelty will compete with Apple Studio Display. The price of the monitor and other details will be disclosed at CES 2023.
