The Russian S-300 system pierced the Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2, but the UAV did not crash and returned to its base without any problems

UAV operator of Bayraktar TB2 with the call sign "Odesa" gave an interview to The Times, in which he shared an interesting story from the battlefront.

What he told

Once a Russian S-300 complex spotted a Ukrainian UAV not far from the Zaporizhzhya. A missile was fired at the UAV and the pilot immediately lost contact with it. A few hours later the drone returned to the landing strip on its own. It turned out that the splinter of missile had pierced the bird, but this did not stop it from returning to its base. Eventually Bayraktar TB2 was repaired and it continued to make combat sorties.

Recall that the Bayraktar TB2 - is a Turkish operational/tactical strike UAV with internal combustion engine and a pusher type propeller. The drone has up to 4 guided munitions. It is capable of remaining in the air for 12 to 24 hours. The maximum control range is up to 150 km. By the way, yesterday, July 8, one Ukraine received the Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas drone for free. It was given to us by the people of Latvia, which in a few days raised almost €6,000,000 for the purchase.
